Care home residents given musical Christmas treat from pupils at Ballard School

MORE than 100 residents of local care homes in New Milton were treated to a Christmas carol service by pupils from Ballard School.

Held in the school’s performing arts centre, choirs and musical groups from nursery up to Year 11 performed for the audience who joined in with the festive songs.

It is the first time since the pandemic that Ballard has been able to host the Christmas event.

Head master Andrew McCleave said: “This was a heart-warming occasion for all involved. I was so proud of the pupils who performed really well and were so welcoming to our guests, who clearly enjoyed the event.

“We hope our guests felt as pleased as we did to be back to normal for this year's Christmas festivities.

“I’d like to thank all our guests for coming and congratulate every pupil and member of staff whose help and commitment made this a very special morning.”
