Girl from Twynham School hospitalised after collision with car on B3059 Stour Road
A 13-year-old girl was hospitalised after a collision with a car in Christchurch during morning rush-hour.
Paramedics and police rushed to the B3059 Stour Road, where the incident involving the young pedestrian and a Mercedes happened just after 8.30am yesterday (Tuesday).
The local casualty was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment to injuries which Dorset Police said were “not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening”.
There were lengthy traffic delays as the road was partially blocked while crews dealt with the incident.
The car was recovered before police left the scene around 10am.
The A&T understands the injured youngster is a pupil at the nearby Twynham School, on Sopers Lane.
The school has been contacted for a comment.
