Provisional trial date set during Southampton Crown Court appearance of Awaas Deader, accused of attempting to murder Rabia Niaz

A PROVISIONAL trial date has been set for a man charged with the attempted murder of a woman found badly injured on a New Forest road.

Awaas Deader did not formally enter a plea to the allegation when he appeared at Southampton Crown Court, but the court set the provisional date anyway for 7th March 2022.

Deader (26), of Blenheim Gardens, was also remanded in custody to next appear at another case management hearing on 5th January.

As reported in the A&T, the attempted murder charge relates to Rabia Niaz (29).

She was found on Exbury Road in Beaulieu on 11th October with what police described as "significant injuries" and taken to Southampton General Hospital and a serious condition that was "not believed to be life-threatening".

It is understood she has since been released from hospital.
