Person seriously injured as A35 closed after crash between car and lorry

One person was seriously injured in a crash between a car and a lorry on the A35 this afternoon.

The route was shut northbound between the B3058 Holmsley Road and Station Road.

A spokesperson from Hampshire police said: “We were called at 2.36pm on 9th July to reports of a collision on Bournemouth Road, Holmsley.

“The collision involved a lorry and a car.

“One person has been taken to hospital in a serious condition.”

Major delays were reported for rush-hour traffic, according to a county council update.
