Thieves targeted Snooks Lane, Walhampton

A BLACK Range Rover and three shotguns have been stolen from a house in Lymington.

Police were called to the property in Snooks Lane, Walhampton, at 1.45pm last Wednesday.

Enquiries so far have revealed that three people were seen arriving at the property in a grey or blue BMW 3 Series estate.

The Range Rover had been parked there and the licensed firearms had been in a locked cabinet inside the house. No ammunition was taken.

Det. Sgt Simon Price said: “At this stage we believe that this was a targeted burglary which has seen three shotguns and the Range Rover stolen.

“Our priority is to locate these items, and we have a number of officers working on this investigation to recover them as soon as possible.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a grey or blue BMW 3 Series in the area that day, or the Range Rover, which has a registration that ends ALS, since it was stolen.

“If you have been approached and offered similar items for sale then please get in touch. Any information you have could really help with our investigation.”

DS Price added: “I would also like to take this opportunity to remind anyone who has licensed firearms in their homes to double check that they are locked up and in a secure place.”

Those with information should contact police on 101, quoting 44190221006, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
