Sir Desmond Swayne gets to tour Lymington company supplying instruments to super yachts around the world
A LYMINGTON company which specialises in supplying high-end instruments to super yachts and race boats was visited by Sir Desmond Swayne MP last week.
He was there to learn about the company’s rapid progress to a world leading position in its sector.

Sir Desmond met employees who have been of particular value to the firm, which is run by directors, Richard Tinley, and Hugh Agnew. Its chief operating officer is Nils Joliffe.
Mr Tinley has worked in the marine instruments industry for more than 35 years, while Mr Agnew has a long history as a professional navigator. He was recently calling tactics and navigating on the 65-metre Adix – a three-masted schooner equipped with A+T instruments – in the Richard Mille Cup in Cowes.
The company deliver performance instruments to more than 500 of the world’s largest and fastest yachts and is enjoying a 40% year-on-year growth.
Mr Agnew said at the end of Sir Swayne’s visit: "We were very pleased that Sir Desmond accepted our invitation and was able to recognise the global position this small company from Lymington has achieved since being founded in 2015.”
