Squash coach Melanie Hagenau wins Milford Tennis and Squash Club title

MILFORD Tennis and Squash Club held their annual winter squash and racketball handicapped tournament last weekend.

The competition, sponsored by Shay McConnon’s company ‘An even better place to work’, was run in a ladder format.

Every player was assigned a handicap and all competitors played each other.

The squash tournament was won by Milford coach Melanie Hagenau (-9) with new member Lanty Chafer (+5) runner-up.

Wayne Hood (-25) was the racketball winner with Gordon Parker (-4) taking second spot. The winners’ trophies and prizes were sponsored by Kerry Richardson.
