Stags’ managers step down after football season cancelled

AFC TOTTON manager Louis Langdown and assistant manager Adam Wilde have stepped away from the club following the early end to the season due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The pair, who have been in charge for the past four years, led the Stags to 16th place in Southern Divison One South this season.

A statement from the club revealed that a decision was made in September to change the club into a limited company. There has been investment offers and chairman Wayne Mew announced that the Stags had decided to accept an offer from a team to invest in the club.

Langdown said in a statement on the club’s website: “Myself and Adam would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that has made our four years at the club enjoyable.

“We are proud of the part we’ve been able to play in changing the fortunes of AFC Totton since we arrived.

“We were able to build our support team too who all played their part in raising the club’s profile and professionalism.”

In the post, an AFC Totton representative said: “We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to Louis, Adam and the coaching team for their hard work and dedication since I have been chairman and wish them all the very best in the future.”
