Stolen school minibus found stripped and torched at Shepherds Gutter car park in Bramshaw

A MINIBUS was found stripped and torched at a New Forest beauty spot car park after being stolen from a Salisbury school.

Police discovered the burnt-out Ford Transit at Shepherds Gutter, off Furzley Lane in Bramshaw, around 9.15am last Tuesday.

The vehicle, which was stripped for parts before being set alight, had been taken from Morgan’s Vale & Woodfalls Primary School in Morgan’s Vale Road, Redlynch, during the previous night.

This incident came weeks after a truck was found overturned and in flames at the nearby junction with the B3079 having been stolen from the BSW Timber sawmill in Bartley. It was thought to have rammed a gate in a failed attempt to access Bramshaw Golf Club’s grounds.

Shepherds Gutter has also been the scene of recent flytips, with items including fridges, freezers, computers, building material and furniture dumped on two occasions in just over a month.

Wiltshire officers are investigating the school minibus theft and subsequent arson, and anyone with information should contact that force on 101, quoting crime reference number 54220011121. Crimestoppers can also be called anonymously on 0800 555 111.
