Police seek rightful owners of stolen valuables stash found at Setthorns car park, off Wilverley Road in Sway
POLICE are appealing to trace the rightful owners of a haul of stolen jewellery and other valuables found stashed in a New Forest car park.
Watches, chains and coins were among the items discovered at Setthorns, off Wilverley Road in Sway, by a member of the public who alerted police last Tuesday.
Enquiries, aided by both personal documents found amongst the stash and liaising with bordering forces, led officers to the owner of some of the goods.
This was an elderly man, whose home on West Moors Road in Three-Legged Cross was burgled on the night of 14th May.
The items recovered included some sentimental pieces that belonged to a late relative.
The local officers have released images of the remaining valuables yet to be claimed.
