A yellow alert has been issued for strong winds across the New Forest and Christchurch today (Monday).
The Met Office warning says strong south-westerly gusts will pose a risk to high-sided vehicles, with short-term loss of power and other services possible.
There may also be delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport and damage to trees.
A Met Office spokesperson said: "South-westerly winds will widely gust to between 50 and 5 mph with gusts reaching 60 to 65mph over some exposed coasts and hills.
"The highest gusts are expected between mid-morning and mid-afternoon."
The alert is in place from 10am to 6pm.
