Hairdresser offers 50 free hair cuts to local deserving individuals
A HAIRDRESSER is offering 50 free cuts to nominees who have gone the extra mile for their community this year.
Emma Keyworth, from Walkford, said she wants to “give back” and cheer people up after the lockdowns of 2021.
She is asking individuals and charities to nominate anyone they feel would love a chance to get their locks in shape before Christmas.
Emma, who runs mobile hairdressing service the Red Wren Hair Company, said: “I have only recently launched the business after working in salons for most of my working life and I just thought this would be a nice thing to do.
“At the moment I am 70% booked up to Christmas so I decided to offer the free spaces to charities for them to either raffle off as a prize, or pick someone who volunteers for them, or someone they help.
“It can be male, female and any age including children. I specialise in cutting so I am offering that service, but it can be anything from just a trim to a good few inches!
“I think a lot of people like to have their hair done for Christmas and having a new look can really cheer you up. I am looking forward to putting a smile on deserving people's faces.”
She has posted an invite on social media inviting organisations and individuals to nominate someone they feel would enjoy a trim.
Emma said: “I am fully mobile so I can go anywhere in the Christchurch to Lymington area.
“I know how important charities are for people going through hard times, but the nominations can be from anywhere including hospitals.
"I am looking forward to meeting the people put forward. I think it is going to be a really rewarding thing to do.”
