Appearing at Poole Magistrates’ Court, Sowa pleaded guilty to two counts of driving while disqualified and without insurance, as well as fraudulently using a registration document on two occasions. She also admitted failing to surrender to bail on 4th February.

The defendant was handed an eight-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, banned from the roads for 12 months and ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work. She must also pay a £100 fine and costs of £85.

The Bench ruled the offences were so serious that only a custodial sentence could be justified.
