A TEENAGER was threatened at knifepoint in an attempted robbery in a Ringwood alleyway on Saturday night.

The victim, a 17-year-old local boy, was targeted by the male offender around 10.25pm.

He was walking along the cut-way, which runs by the back of the war memorial at the junction of Christchurch Road and Mansfield Road.

Brandishing a small penknife, his assailant demanded he hand over his wallet. But, after the victim showed it was empty, he ran off empty-handed.
