Thieves smash through hairdresser's door to snatch charity tins
THIEVES who smashed the window of a hairdressing salon and stole charity collections have been blasted as “scum” by the owner.
Police are investigating after the incident at Elegance Hairdressing in Eling Lane in Totton on Sunday.
A Hampshire Constabulary Elegance Hairdressing in Eling Lane spokesperson told the A&T: “The front glass door was smashed between 7pm and 7.30pm on 29th December. Cash has been taken.”
Sharing a photograph of her salon’s smashed window on Facebook, owner Soph James wrote: “To the scum who stole charity pots from my shop – shame on you.
"I have some fantastic witnesses and the police are on it, but if anyone knows, sees or hears anymore, let me know.”
One local commented: “That is disgusting. How low can people be?”
Another said: “So sorry for your loss and the damage.”
