Forestry England to close three New Forest car parks in Bramshaw area for ‘essential work’

THREE New Forest car parks will be closed for “essential work” tomorrow (Tuesday).

Forestry England has issued the warning as it continues repairs at some of the 130 car parks it manages across the district.

The closures tomorrow are in the Bramshaw area – Bramshaw Wood, off Forest Road; Lords Oak, off the B3079; and Shepards Gutter, off Furzley Lane.

A Forestry England spokesperson said: “Bad weather and prolonged periods of rain throughout the year have increased damage and erosion to car park surfaces.”

Motorists are urged to not park on verges, along access tracks or in gateways.
