One person hurt in three-vehicle collision which partially blocked the A35 Christchurch bypass




ONE person was hurt in a three-vehicle collision which blocked off part of the A35 Christchurch bypass on Tuesday afternoon.

Rush-hour traffic hold-ups ensued as emergency services responded to the incident which took place around 4.30pm between the Fountain Roundabout and the Stony Lane Roundabout.

A local fire crew assisted in ensuring the scene was safe and assessing casualties.

One person was treated at the scene by paramedics having suffered minor injuries.

With just one lane passable while the collision was dealt with, police urged motorists to avoid the area until the vehicles were recovered and the scene cleared by about 5.30pm.

Queues of vehicles reportedly built back along the A35 Lyndhurst Road and A337 Highcliffe Road during this period.
