Thunderstorm warning for New Forest and Christchurch
A WEATHER warning has been issued for thunderstorms to hit the New Forest and Christchurch from tomorrow (Wednesday).
The Met Office has said the storms, due to hit in the evening, are likely to run until Thursday and may bring travel disruption and flooding to the area.
Rainfall of around 30mm could fall in an hour, with some spots hit by 50mm in two to three hours.
The yellow alert says there's a small chance of flooding for homes and businesses, with possible travel delays and cancellations of train and bus services.
The national weather agency also warned of road closures and power cuts.
Conditions are set to improve over Saturday and Sunday, however, but temperatures won't be up to those experienced last weekend, with the Met Office predicting a maximum of about 18C.
