STEALING food and cosmetics cost a shoplifter nearly £900 in penalties.
Anna Cooper (30), of Ashby Road, Totton, admitted three theft charges relating to nearly £470 of make-up from the town’s AR Pharmacy and a combined £130 of meat and cheese from Co-op in Lymington. She also pleaded guilty to failing to answer bail.
Southampton magistrates ordered Cooper pay £642 compensation and a £230 fine.
She was also handed a 12-month community order with a drug rehabilitation.
