Christchurch businesses warned over fake fire service magazine

CHRISTCHURCH businesses have been warned to beware of a bogus fire service publication selling advertising.

A Twitter post by the town’s fire station emphasised the contacts had nothing to do with the fire service.

“We've been made aware of a company contacting businesses to sell advertising space in a 'fire brigade magazine', giving the impression they are acting on behalf of us,” the tweet said.

“This is nothing to do with us, we do not benefit in any way, and we would never approach businesses like this.”
