Barton group Jax’s Knitting Lovelies donate trauma teddies for New Forest police to hand out to children needing comfort and reassurance




A GROUP of knitters from Barton has whipped up cuddly toys for police to give children who have gone through traumatic experiences.

Lyndhurst police station recently welcomed members of Jax’s Knitting Lovelies who dropped off the new trauma teddies.

These will be used to help provide comfort and reassurance to youngsters.

Half of the toys will be used by PC Tash Stevens at Lyndhurst, while the other half have gone with PC Joey Chung, of Totton’s neighbourhood policing team.

Local officers posted online: “Thanks to Jax, Sherry and Elaine for their kindness. Your efforts will definitely make a difference to children in the New Forest.”
