A HEARTBROKEN family has paid tribute to a “kind and thoughtful” pensioner who died after being involved in a collision with a car in Haydock Close, Totton.

Sheila Watson was struck by a Volkswagen Tiguan as she walked in her home road just after 3.30pm on Monday 23rd March.

Having suffered serious injuries, the 74-year-old was taken by ambulance to hospital where she died three days later.

“She was a lovely, kind and thoughtful lady, who would do anything for anyone,” said her family, in a statement released through Hampshire police on Monday.

“She was loved by so many. She will be greatly missed by us all, our hearts are broken.”

Officers investigating the collision want to hear from any witnesses they have not already spoken to as they establish the circumstances.

A spokesperson said: “Maybe you were in the area, or your car has a dash cam that continues to record when the vehicle is parked.”
