Hampshire police confirm 23-year-old Lymington man arrested on suspicion of arson after Waterstones blaze has been bailed




INVESTIGATIONS are continuing into a fire at a Lymington book store after a man arrested in connection with the incident was bailed.

As reported in the A&T, Waterstones in the town’s High Street was targeted at around 10.30pm last Wednesday.

Thanks to the efforts of quick-thinking staff at nearby bar Huddle – who rushed to the store with fire extinguishers – the flames were contained until the emergency services arrived.

A 23-year-old man from the town who was arrested on suspicion of arson has been released on conditional bail until 12th March 2025, pending further enquiries, Hampshire police confirmed.
