A VILLAGE Co-op was forced to close for "structural assessment" on its floor.
The store in Bransgore was closed on Sunday with notices in the door telling shoppers of a "health and safety issue" and possible reopening at midday. However it remained closed until yesterday (Monday) afternoon.
A spokesperson for Co-op, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Our Bransgore store closed temporarily to allow a precautionary structural assessment to be carried out on the warehouse floor.
"Following the checks, the store was able to reopen yesterday afternoon to serve the community.”
