Village Co-op set to reopen after closing for five months in £1m revamp
BRANSGORE’S Co-op is set to reopen tomorrow (Wednesday) after a £1m revamp.
The shop on Oaktree Parade has been closed for five months, with a pop-up store erected outside for essentials.
The supermarket took over the first floor of the building, which was previously home to a solicitors firm. This has been turned into storage, enabling a 600sqft increase in shop floor below.
The new-look store, which employs 15, now has Amazon lockers, a Costa coffee express and a bakery, and runs on 100% renewable electricity.
Store manager Debbie Foot said: “The store has a great new look.
"It has been a fantastic opportunity to carry out such a significant investment in our store to benefit the community, we are really looking forward to welcoming customers into their new-look store – we have worked to develop the range, choice, products and services locally that will create a really compelling offer in the community.”
The store is open 7am-10pm, and students who are Totum cardholders can receive a 10% discount.
