Warning as heavy rain and thunderstorms set to hit New Forest and Christchurch Wednesday morning

A YELLOW alert has been issued for Christchurch and the New Forest as thunderstorms along with heavy rain and wind are forecast to batter the area tomorrow (Wednesday) morning.

The Met Office warns there may be "some disruption" from 4am till noon.

This includes a "small chance" of flooding for homes and businesses, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.

Train and bus services could be delayed or cancelled, trees may be damaged and there may be power cuts.
