Plans to build pavilion for Fawley Cricket Club's junior team




PLANNING permission is being sought for a new pavilion at a sports club in Holbury to support a local junior cricket team.

Waterside Sports and Social Club has submitted an application to New Forest District Council for a log cabin approximately 5.5x3.5 metres at its premises in Long Lane.

The pavilion would be used by Fawley Cricket Club's junior team, the application said.

So far, four letters of support have been received. One person wrote: "The cricket club has a thriving junior section and this development will be a great facility for the juniors and parents on training and match days."

Another added: "It's great to see investment being put into local sporting clubs and this structure will complement the existing buildings the cricket club have in place."

The public consultation ends on 12th July after which a decision will be made by the council.
