Weather alert as heavy rain expected for New Forest and Christchurch

A WEATHER warning has been issued for the area, with heavy rain expected across the New Forest and Christchurch tomorrow (Wednesday).

The Met Office has sent out a yellow alert for most of southern England, with up to 50mm expected in some areas.

It’s expected to hit between 3am and 2pm, and the government agency said surface flooding was likely, creating issues for the morning rush hour.

It added bus and train services would likely be affected, with spray and flooding on roads making journey times longer.
