Weekend wind warning for the New Forest and Christchurch as Met Office issues yellow alert for Storm Arwen

KEEP your eye out for flying trampolines this weekend, the Met Office has issued a wind warning.

The New Forest and Christchurch are included in a yellow weather alert this coming Saturday, with coastal wind speeds up to 80mph predicted as Storm Arwen works its way south.

There may be damage to buildings, roads and bridges may close, along with power cuts and delays to rail, air and ferry transport, the national weather agency has suggested.

The warning is in place from the early morning right through to 6pm.
