Win tickets to see Band of Gold at the Mayflower theatre

A STAGE adaptation of the ground-breaking ITV drama Band of Gold will be at Southampton Mayflower Theatre next month.

Written by Kay Mellor, the multi-award winning TV series captivated over 15 million viewers each week and revolved around a group of women – Carol, Rose, Anita and Gina.

At times heart-breaking and humorous, Band of Gold told the story of how a young mother was drawn into the notorious red-light district.

The three iconic female lead roles that were played by Geraldine James, Barbara Dickson and Cathy Tyson in the TV series, will be played on stage by Gaynor Faye (Emmerdale), Laurie Brett (EastEnders) and introducing Emma Osman.

They will be joined by award-winning TV stars, Shayne Ward (Coronation Street), Kieron Richardson (Hollyoaks), Sacha Parkinson and Andrew Dunn (Coronation Street).

Band of Gold will be at Southampton from 4th-8th February, and we’ve teamed up with the Mayflower Theatre to give one lucky reader the chance to win a pair of tickets to the opening night of the show by answering the question in this week’s leisure competition.
