Woman (74) dies from injuries after collision with car

AN elderly pedestrian has died after being involved in a collision with a car in Haydock Close, Totton.

Paramedics responded to reports the 74-year-old local woman had been struck by a Volkswagen Tiguan.

Emergency services said the incident happened shortly after 3.30pm last Monday.

The casualty suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to hospital, where she has now died.

Police investigating the collision want to hear from any witnesses they have not already spoken to as they establish the circumstances.

A spokesperson for the Hampshire force said: “Maybe you were in the area, or your car has a dash cam that continues to record when the vehicle is parked.”
