A POPULAR Yellow Buses service to and from Bournemouth and Boscombe has extended its route to connect to passengers in New Milton.

From Monday 8th April the 1a bus from Bournemouth will be dropping off and picking up from the town centre, the railway station and the Tesco supermarket off Caird Avenue, as well as taking in Highcliffe.

Running hourly from Monday to Saturday, the service is aimed not only at shoppers but also New Milton and Highcliffe residents wishing to visit Boscombe and Bournemouth.

The new route is part of Yellow Buses' summer changes that are being introduced from Sunday 7th April.

Company managing director David Squire said: “This extension is something we think will be popular on that route.

“There are many bus users we’ve identified who can benefit from this extension.

“People in Highcliffe can now visit Sainsbury’s and Stewart’s garden centre in Christchurch – or of course Tesco in New Milton.

“We also hope to encourage passengers from those areas to visit Bournemouth and Boscombe.”

He added: “It also provides a link to New Milton railway station as we want to promote public transport connectivity.”

Details of all the changes, which also include an extended service to Wimborne, can be found at www.yellowbuses.co.uk
