Scouts from the 1st Barton Beaver Scouts donate food and Easter eggs to New Forest Basics Bank

Youngsters from the 1st Barton Beaver Scouts have been donating food and Easter eggs for the homeless and other people in need.

As part of their community impact badge the Beavers learnt about those “less fortunate than themselves”.

They then went with their parents to buy food and Easter treats for people living on the streets, or struggling to cope with the cost-of-living crisis.

Leader Mark Yon said the badge project was “an overwhelming and generous contribution which generated a variety of goods thanks to the kindness of parents and families, and clearly demonstrated the true values of Scouting”.

The donations were given to the New Forest Basics Bank.
