Letter: Another reason not to introduce wheelie bins to the New Forest

SIR – Here is another good reason to not have wheelie bins.

For the last month the collection of our garden waste has been suspended. As our bags are not full we have been able to dispose of our garden waste by booking a slot at the household recycling centre.

Had this garden waste been in a wheelie bin, this would have been impossible.

Should it ever happen that household waste or recycling collections were suspended, with black and clear bags we could still dispose of our waste; with wheelie bins this would be impossible.

I rest my case.
