Letter: Arrogance of Hampshire County Council on Lymington parking plans

SIR – This plan strikes me as a reversal of what these people at Hampshire County Council were put in position to do – namely, serve the people they represent.

Virtually nobody in Lymington wants these parking charges yet HCC will bulldoze ahead regardless.

This is not democracy. This is yet another example of elected officials and administrators telling us what’s good for us, and refusing to listen to what local rate-paying people want.

Isn’t this the reason the UK voted to leave the EU? I find their arrogance breathtaking.
