Letter: Can't anyone stop the motorhomes wild camping at Keyhaven?

SIR – Is there no authority who will take responsibility for the large numbers of assorted motorhomes/campervans currently parked up along New Lane and Saltgrass Lane?

At 9am this morning, there was only room for two more!

Barbecues were being lit, chairs were being put out, wet towels draped over wing mirrors – anyone would think the area was a campsite!

Many had a puddle of water underneath, which was draining across Saltgrass Lane into Mount Lake. High tide last night?

No electricity? No problem – many were prepared with portable solar panels!

Have I a grudge against motorhomes? No, I own one myself! But I’m part of the huge number of responsible owners who do not wild camp.

These wild-campers give responsible owners a bad name.
