Letter: Investigation into cat killer must continue
SIR – "Sick" and "twisted" are certainly appropriate adjectives for the person responsible for yet another beheading (and betailing) of a pet cat, this time in Christchurch (A&T, 5th November).
My cats and I would go further: "psychotic scumbag".
As this is very likely the ongoing, dedicated work of the 'Croyden cat killer', it is unfortunate that the Metropolitan Police binned their investigation into said person's activities in 2018, citing cars and foxes as the culprits; a theory about as plausible as Covid-19 having come from outer space.
Perhaps, after four years, it had become a disagreeable inconvenience.
I trust that the Met and other cops are aware that many serial killers began their careers by inflicting cruelty and death on animals before graduating to humans.
