Letter: People driving through the New Forest like it's part of a race track.

I'm someone who has only moved to this beautiful part of the country four years ago.

The animals that roam wild are a thing of beauty, which command careful requirements when travelling on their domain.

We need to remember they have every right to be here, and why wouldn't you want that?

It’s bad enough we have van delivery drivers or just general careless minded people, driving through the forest areas like it's part of a race track.

And what has become far too regular and horrific to hear, the tragedies of foals, calves, and donkeys being knocked down, badly injured or to the worst result, killed.

If your mentality is you've lived here all your life, and have lost the care for these wonderful things we have the privilege of living around, or you’re in a rush to get somewhere, then buck your ideas up.

It’s disgusting that these beautiful creatures are subject to such dangers, and that we now have a so called car ramming donkey nudger. I can only say, I'm glad I wasn't there; God knows I wouldn't have been taking a picture of the person.

What the hell do they think there playing at? What is going on in this person's mind? Horrified and disgusted, I can't express my anger and frustration more!

Liam Hinks,

Barton
