Letter: The green and not-so green of Milford

SIR – The Greening project led by Milford Parish Council, the enthusiasm of the pupils of the local school and tree planting in Everton and Hordle are all to be applauded (A&T, 26th November).

So how can it possibly be justifiable to rip up acres of land adjacent to Manor Road (A&T, 27th October), depriving wildlife of their habitat and destroying the countryside to build an estate of houses which will be of little benefit to the village?
