Letter: Where are the Forest litter game instructions?

As reported in the A&T (April 12th) the council has launched a new litter “game” on the A35.

Travelling that route recently I noticed three signs: “Current Litter Score D+”, “Help maintain our Litter Score” and “Current Litter Grade 23%”.

Trying to ignore my feeling that the words “Score” and “Grade” should be swapped over, I was left with a number of questions:

The signs will display an overall grade (picture: NFDC)

How do I help to maintain the Litter Score of D+? Should I throw rubbish out of the car window to help?

What does a Litter Grade of 23% mean? There is 23% less (or more) litter than last month? Are we aiming for 0% or 100%? How is it measured?

Can anyone enlighten me?
