Letters: “Useful information must be available for oldies in New Forest too”

Along with my council tax bill, I received leaflets from the NFDC re the waste collections, and Donna Jones the police and crime commissioner.

The wheelie bin leaflet showed pictures of the bins, giving the sizes in litres, ie 180 and 240 litres but no dimensions! Without dimensions how can we know where these hideous bins will fit?

Donna Jones told us to scan for police stations and for local bobbies. I am surprised that the police commissioner does not know that there are still thousands of oldies in this area who do not have mobiles, let alone smartphones!

Container for every purpose.
Container for every purpose.

As thousands of pounds are spent on these supposedly useful leaflets, why cannot the information be given for the old as well as the young?
