Letters: ‘Water lot of money’

I have just received my water bill from Southern Water for 2025/26.

There is an increase of £30 a month which amounts to over 55%. Has everyone had such a huge increase?

My pension certainly hasn't increased 55%, and the small amount it has risen is then taken away in tax.

If all the utility bills increase by 55%, how will anyone afford to live, eat, stay warm? What is going on?

I feel sorry for people already struggling on a low income; people trying to feed and house their families. This will be the last straw.

What a sorry state this country is in. Labour will soon bankrupt us all, along with the whole country, just as they have before.
