Parton impersonator Kelly O’Brien brings the Dolly Show to The Barn in Ringwood

TOP Dolly Parton impersonator Kelly O’Brien brings her dazzling show to The Barn at Ringwood next month.

Australian-born O’Brien is known for her stunning vocals and flawless comic timing. Fans of the show say she brilliantly captures the voice, verve and voluptuousness of the superstar from Tennessee.

As seen on BBC ONE, ITV This Morning and Sky, and featured in many national newspapers, Kelly is the only impersonator endorsed by the Parton family and has been voted the UK’s best Parton impersonator.

Kelly began singing country music at the age of 14. Two years later she was crowned South Australian Country Vocalist of the Year and best new talent at the pan-Australian Gympie Muster country festival.

Her first national television appearance was on the talent show New Faces, and she was one of the last 12 finalists in Popstars 2 in 2000.

In 2002 Kelly secured the lead role in the German production of Starlight Express, which led to a record contract with ZYX Music and the release of a German top 10 single.

Other theatre credits include the Hunchback of Notre Dame, Tonight’s the Night, and Hollywood in Concert. After moving to the UK, Kelly worked as a freelance singer and actress and, in 2007, she decided to bring the joy of Dolly Parton to audiences around the UK.

In 2020 she produced The Dolly Show, which she is now touring with her band.

Her UK television credits include ITV’s This Morning and Lorraine, BBC Breakfast, Channel 4’s The Last Leg, and the X Factor, and her radio credits include BBC Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine and Scott Mills shows. She has been crowned the UK’s best Dolly tribute act four times.
