Arnewood School go-karter Ollie Bailey overcame challenging conditions at the ️Clay Pigeon Raceway
ARNEWOOD School’s go-kart racer Ollie Bailey ran into trouble and finished eighth, which did not reflect the pace the teenager showed through the rounds.
The 16-year-old overcame challenging conditions on a damp but drying track in the seventh round of the ️Clay Pigeon Raceway.
The Hordle-based teenager drove well and consistently stayed in second or third position until coming into some traffic in the closing laps, which held him up and resulted in a P7 finish.
In the heat, Bailey delivered a smooth and consistent drive to climb from P7 top finish in fourth.
Heavy contact on the very first corner of the final put the talented teenager into a spin. After dropping into the pack, Bailey had to make do with an eighth-placed finish.
Ollie Bailey’s father, Liam, said: “After a successful 2024, we are looking to raise sponsorship for our entry into the 2025 National Kart Cup Championship.
“The championships feature the best drivers in the country in the class Ollie races in, so we are looking for friends, family and local businesses to support him again for next season.
“Next year, we are going to feature all business sponsors’ logos across the new kart graphics, a new suit with sponsors’ logos, heavily discounted practice days out in the race-prepped kart and much more.”
