AFC Totton cruised to a comprehensive 3-0 away defeat of Larkhall Athletic to move up to ninth.

The Stags were quickly in the ascendancy, racing into a two-goal lead after just six minutes with goals from Adam Tomasso and Scott Rendell. Then, Harvey Woods added the gloss to the win with a third in the 90th minute.

With just one change to the line-up – Adam Tomasso coming in for Jack Masterton – Jimmy Ball's side started aggressively and immediately began to fashion chances. With just two minutes played, Rendell slid the ball across to Tomasso, who let fly from a distance to find the bottom-left corner.

Four minutes later, the Stags looked out of sight when Rendell nonchalantly converted from 12 yards after being felled in the box following a cute clipped ball from Ethan Taylor.

The contest's one-sided nature continued when veteran striker Rendell ghosted into the penalty area before finding the bottom-left corner with a superb header. However, the linesman's flag saved the Larkhall blushes.

The final decent chance of the half also went to the Stags with Taylor, looking to add the third, forcing a superb save from young keeper Alfie Kelsey.

The hosts' slim hopes of a comeback took a turn for the worse when Larkhall's Dan Restwick received his marching orders after committing a second bookable offence.

Down the home stretch, the Stags kept possession for long periods while staying solid in defence before Woods bagged his first Stags' goal from close range after meticulous midfield play.
