Consistent Adam Jundi leads the Brockenhurst parkrun field for a record time
It was a grey but mild morning for the 199 people who ran, jogged and walked the autumnal Brockenhurst parkrun Wilverley Inclosure course.
The first across the line, for a record 93rd time, was M45 Adam Jundi, who ran 17:32 and set the highest male age grade score. The incredibly consistent Jundi has run between 16:49 and 17:59 129 times in his 151 Brockenhurst parkruns.
W35 Alice Rudd of Hardley Runners led the women home for the 51st time with a time of 20:27 and then took part in the Hampshire Cross Country League race at Kings Park Bournemouth and finished an impressive 31st in a top-class field.
The highest age grade score of 81.50% was set by W75 Rosemarie Osborn of New Forest Runners on her 226th parkrun.
As is often the case, the first junior was M15 Henry Forsyth, who was the third overall with 18:20, while W11 Scarlett Lapidus-Ewin ran only her second parkrun but led the girls home in a personal best (PB) 22:36.
The event was made possible thanks to 19 volunteers. They were Abigail and Daniel Cacia, Katy Hughes, Mick Anglim, Mike Jurd, Katrin Pritchard, Caroline Pemberton, Carys Gallagher, Rosemarie Osborn, Steve Wilks, Stewart Chanter, Zachary Ahearne, Jack Prince, Barbara Walton, Sharon Herman, Patricia Batchelor, Craig Foggo, Clare Kelly, and Thomas Newsom.
