Lymington-based yacht Kari of Lymington is making waves as it participates in the 2024 Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) to help the fight against Huntington’s disease.

Currently, halfway across the Atlantic, the crew is not only navigating challenging seas but also raising awareness and funds to fight the disease.

ARC, which has been running for over 30 years, is a transatlantic sailing event which starts at the Canary Islands and finishes at the Caribbean.

Despite facing five-metre seas and 40-knot winds, the crew has adapted their onboard life to accommodate Hood’s needs, ensuring she remains an integral part of the yacht’s operations.
