Priestlands School are celebrating after the Year 7 boys football team clinched the Hampshire Cup after a thrilling penalty shootout victory over John Hanson School.

Following a stellar season that saw them reach the last 16 of the National Cup, the team shifted their focus to the Hampshire Cup.

In a game that tested their mettle, Priestlands School’s Year 7 boys football team showed their resilience by bouncing back from a 2-0 deficit with a thrilling last-second header by Hudson Williamson, forcing the game into extra time.

The match ultimately went to a penalty shootout, where Priestlands emerged victorious.

As they advance to Year 8, the team will transition to 11-a-side matches, building on their remarkable success this year.
