OVER 3,000 pupils took part in the Hampshire School games in Aldershot last week with numerous New Forest schools triumphing in a variety of events.

The county-wide event allowed young people to showcase their talent through sports competition. The School Games, which is partnered with charity Energise Me, was hosted at the military facilities in Aldershot. Netball, multi-skills, volleyball and athletics were among the sports that took place at the event.

Sharon Robertson, Strategic Lead at Energise Me said: “This year’s teams really demonstrated the School Games Values of determination, passion, respect, honesty, self-belief and teamwork. It was great to see so many young people participating in such a wide range of sports and enjoying being physically active.”
