New Milton U15s completed a dominant unbeaten season with victory in the Hampshire plate final, lifting the crown after a 40-17 win over local rivals Ellingham & Ringwood.
The squad made the short trip up the M3 to meet Ellingham & Ringwood under blue skies at the showpiece final hosted by Winchester RFC.
The match was the final hurdle in completing a remarkable unbeaten season, which included two massive victories against league one sides Alton RFC and Petersfield RFC.
Led by captain Sam Tillier-Wood and vice-captain Will Bulmer, the team entertained supporters with a demonstration of a fast ball, dominant carries and great defence against a well-drilled and dynamic E&R side.
Special mentions to Alfie Crane for his safe hands and territorial runs and Sam Bainbridge, who orchestrated the side with precision and delivered near-flawless conversion kicks to maximise New Milton’s score line.
Line jumpers Tom Wells and Owyn Mayer for their fearless high-work and hooking duo Sam Goode and Ollie Peck for dominant scrum work.
